Well, true barbecue fans know it was never intended to be fancy; it's a roll-up your sleeves, finger-licking event. That's what JohnTom's Barbecue is all about.
We want to take it back to the basics... backyard cookouts with family and friends, everyone's fingers and mouths covered in sauce. So if it's fancy you want, get out the fine china and white cloth napkins. But if true barbecue is what you desire, grab a bottle of JohnTom's Barbecue Sauce and don't forget to WIPE YOUR FACE!
History
John Tom Branson's love for barbecue is very understandable. He was born in the "Deep South." Now find one person there who doesn't love barbecue! John Tom took that love with him up North, when he and his family relocated. The thriving automotive industry led him to Indiana. On most summer weekends, you could find John Tom at home, wood-smoking meat and selling barbecue dinners to loyal neighborhood customers. His sauce was their favorite. After many years at the automotive plant, John Tom decided to retire and open his own barbecue restaurant.

However, his dream seem to have faded when he suffered a heart attack. But what many people didn't know is that dream stayed alive through John Tom's oldest grandson. You see, on those barbecue weekends, his grandson was usually there, helping his grandpa make sauce. When John Tom passed away, his grandson promised he'd carry on his grandpa's vision. And here we are today.. a dream that started many decades ago, but has finally come true.
